Jamie Michelle Grainsky

On March 31, 2023 this world lost a special individual. Jamie Michelle Grainsky, age 35, left us unexpectedly. She was born on March 6, 1988, in Hartford, Connecticut to Debbie Grainsky of West Hartford and Mike Grainsky of Rochester, New York. She attended West Hartford schools and Northfield Mount Herman Preparatory School.  Additionally, she became certified as a Respiratory Therapist, got a BS in General Science, and was working to become a Paralegal.

Jamie was a tremendous athlete, very funny, and highly intelligent. She was a champion in many swimming leagues, as well as at Northfield Mount Herman. She also spent much time playing soccer as a goalie for the town of West Hartford. Additionally, she was incredibly capable student who could sleep through class and still maintain the highest grades. Her humor had her friends, relatives and acquaintances into laughing fits on a regular basis.

Her greatest accomplishment is her son, Nicholas Xavier Rodriguez, who she loved more than life itself. She treated Nico with love, respect and patience; and she did all she could to give him the best possible life.

In addition to her parents, Debbie and Mike Grainsky, and her son, Nicholas, she leaves a sister, Alana Grainsky, and her wife Cetta Puleo, of Stratford, Connecticut, a grandmother, Faye Cohen, of West Hartford and many close friends and relatives who she loved unconditionally.

There will be a Celebration of Jamie’s Life held at the Owl Pavilion at Winding Trails on Saturday, May 13 at 1 PM.  A GoFundMe has been established to support her son, Nico so that he can receive support and have access to opportunities that will allow him to grow and flourish despite this tragedy.
